Grape Fast Day 24 – Planning Your Post-Fast Transition

By Grape Fast Day 24, it’s wise to start thinking about the days after your grape fast. Abruptly returning to heavy foods can be hard on your body, so use today to sketch a gentle transition. In your journal, write a list of simple foods you’d like to reintroduce first—fresh fruits, soft vegetables, and light broths are often a good start.

Planning for success is critical. You’ve made huge changes, and an alkaline diet has helped your body reset. Maybe prior to this reset you were having excessive coffees or eating ready-meals, or overly processed items made of denatured, non-living foods. Or maybe your diet was overly acidic, and now you’ve been eating this more alkaline diet. Alkalinity and acidity have to do with oxygen potential. Your body, your cells, need oxygen. Really take the time to think about where you’ve come from, where you have gone on your 30-Day Grape Fast journey, and where you want to go next.

Many people transition to salads, green smoothies, perhaps the vegan hyper-nourishment diet of Dr. Brooke Goldner, herbal teas, and lightly steamed veggies, or a more inclusive raw, or high-raw, vegan diet.

Also note the habits you want to keep: more water, slower eating, daily check-ins, or regular journaling. Your transition plan doesn’t need to be perfect; it just needs to be thoughtful and kind.

You’ve done deep work—continuing with care honors that effort.
