On Grape Fast Day 25, return again to gratitude, but this time let it expand in all directions. Write a page of thank-yous: to your body, to grapes, to water, to Dr. Morse or the other people who have worked diligently to help humanity to heal naturally, or to your own courage, and to any people or resources that supported you. Let the page fill with appreciation until you feel a softening in your chest or a sense of warmth in your body.
Your gratitude can be about whatever you are grateful for, yet it may be helpful to focus on what is wonderful and beautiful in the world, nature, baby animals, children. Keep in mind, cultivating gratitude for your body, and its incredible capacity to detox despite (potentially) years of eating hyper-processed food lacking in nutrients, is essential. If you like, close your eyes afterward and silently whisper “thank you” a few more times. Gratitude can help release tension, fear, and old stories that no longer serve you. It is a powerful way to seal in the benefits of the cleansing you’ve done so far.
